Pricing

Pricing a cake is dependent on so many different contributory factors but the charts below should help you have a little bit of an understanding on how they impact upon the pricing. After considering the external elements of the cake, the internal flavour will also affect pricing.

All prices stated below are for our basic vanilla sponge recipe and are starting prices.  The prices will increase dependent on which flavour cake you select.

Band A Cakes

Cakes in this band are ‘simple’ which means that they will:

  • be plain fondant or buttercream with sprinkles
  • have no toppers
  • be single tier (6 – 8”)
  • have no flowers

Band B Cakes

Cakes in this band are ‘quite simple’ which means that they will:

  • be plain fondant or buttercream but with additional texturing e.g. quilting/stenciling
  • naked cakes
  • drip cakes
  • edible images
  • have simple card toppers
  • be single tier (6 – 10”)
  • be double tier (4 & 6”)
  • have simple silk flowers

Band C Cakes

Cakes in this band are ‘more complex’ which means that they will:

  • be plain fondant or buttercream but with additional texturing e.g. quilting/stenciling
  • naked cakes
  • drip cakes
  • have simple card/acrylic toppers
  • be single tier (8 – 10”)
  • be double tier (6 & 8”)
  • have simple silk flowers
  • have fresh flowers
  • simple edible novelty elements or more complex pre-made/non-edible elements

Band D Cakes

Cakes in this band are ‘complex’ which means that they will:

  • be plain fondant or buttercream but with additional texturing e.g. quilting/stenciling
  • naked cakes
  • drip cakes
  • have simple card/acrylic toppers
  • be single tier (10″ +)
  • be double tier (8 & 10”)
  • be multiple tiers (4, 6, 8, 10, 12”)
  • have simple silk flowers
  • have fresh flowers
  • have sugar flowers
  • more complex edible novelty elements or more complex pre-made/non-edible elements
