Most Frequently Asked Questions

We are an online business, but we operate from South East London, England

It depends on the size, flavour and finish. Check out our ‘pricing’ page to get more of an idea of starting prices.

The smallest is a 6” round serving approx.12-15 portions and the largest single cake is a whopping 28“x14” oblong serving approx 140 portions

  • A Fresh Cream Cake should be kept refrigerated and consumed within 36 hours.
  • A Sponge Cake will normally be edible for 5-7 days after purchase if kept in a cool dry place, not in a fridge.
  • A Fruit Cake, uncut and stored in a cool dry place can keep for years!

All our cakes are securely packed in an appropriate cake box.

The best place is flat in the boot, or in the footwell of a car so that the cake remains at a 90 degree angle. On the seat or on somebody’s lap is not recommended unless this angle can be maintained.

We can add an image or picture to most cakes, however your picture cannot be above A3 size depending on the size of the cake.

The edible image will be the same quality as the photo we use, so the better quality the picture, the better quality the edible image is on the cake.  We can enlarge, reduce or crop the image and the largest photo we can scan is A4.

All our cakes can include an inscription of your choice. If it cannot be on the cake for any reason we can arrange to place on the board or in a cake topper.

At the time of your order finalisation, the necessity of toppers etc will be discussed and priced into the total cost of the cake.

We have an extensive range of novelty cakes available. Check through the gallery to see a selection and feel free to share ideas or other suggestions.

No, you do not need to make an appointment, but please bear in mind a full serving consultation may take up to an hour to explore all of the details for the order your cake.

A £50 non-refundable or transferable fee secures the date in the diary.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the quoted price is required to finalise any order. Check out our ‘General Information’ page for full details of our payment terms and conditions.

To ensure that we have the correct details and message, whilst we do take orders online, we prefer to speak in person, even if this is over the phone, so we can double check and answer your questions quickly.

All our cakes are bespoke and made to order and therefore in most cases, a 7 day lead time is required.  See our ‘General Information’ page for more information.

As much notice as possible! During the wedding season we are extremely busy and regularly have orders made a year in advance.  Again check out the ‘General Information’ for further details.

We normally ask for 7 days’ notice but can often do a cake at shorter notice subject to availability. Novelty cakes need at least a week’s notice.
